Microsoft Access 2010 and newer versions make use of the tabbed document format - the ribbon - found in other Microsoft Office products. The ribbon replaces the toolbars and menus present in earlier versions of Access. This collection of tabs might be hidden or subjected to support specific development tasks. Here's how you can show or hide the tabs in Access 2010.

Click the File tab on the Ribbon.
Click the Options button that appears in the bottom portion of the menu frame. It isn't on the main listing of menu items, but appears towards the bottom frame above the Exit button.
Click the present Database menu item.
To hide document tabs, uncheck the Display Document Tabs checkbox. If you're using a database where someone hid the tabs and would like to make them reappear, activate the checkbox.

Tips

The settings you make affect the present database only. You need to change this setting manually for other databases. The settings apply on all computers accessing the database file.

You can change to the old-style "overlapping windows" view by selecting that option under Document Window Options on the present Database options menu.

Microsoft can finish support for Microsoft Office 2010 in October 2020, meaning it'll discontinue all support, including paid support in addition to all updates, including security updates. However, between now and then the software is within an in-between phase by which Microsoft is still offering some support, plus some updates.

Exactly what does Terminal Mean?

Terminal may be the date after which a credit card applicatoin is no longer based on the organization that makes it. After Office 2010 terminal, you can continue using the software, however, you could be doing this at the own risk. New viruses and other malware are now being developed all the time and, with no security updates to battle them off, your data as well as your system would be vulnerable.

Exactly why is Office 2010 Support Ending?

The Office 2010 terminal cycle is similar to that of previous Microsoft Office versions. Microsoft states, "Microsoft Office 2010 has a support lifecycle during which we offer additional features, software updates, security fixes, and so forth. This lifecycle lasts for Ten years in the date of the product's initial release."

Upgrading to Office 2019

Microsoft Office 2019 is going to be released at the end of 2018, and finally you'll wish to upgrade. How quickly you're doing so is up to you but, obviously, the earlier you're doing so, the earlier you can begin experiencing the benefits of the new software suite, which include the latest visualization features, better security, and more powerful data analysis.

To install Office 2019 you'll need to have Windows 10 as your operating-system. Much like Windows 10, Office 2019 will automatically update itself twice each year. This method ensures that you always have the most up-to-date versions of your operating-system and software.

Upgrading to Office 365

Alternatively you can upgrade to Office 365, which is the cloud version of Office. The benefits are that your information is stored safely in the cloud, and you may make use of the software suite across multiple devices. The disadvantage is the fact that it's a regular membership service that you need to still pay for every year.

If you have Office 2010, 2013, or 2016, you most likely know about the Microsoft Office Upload Center. It appears within the taskbar around the right bottom corner from the window in which the clock along with other background apps can be found. This feature keeps tabs on your documents as you upload these to OneDrive or another online server. It's a good feature if you are uploading multiple documents at the same time, but, in other instances, the feature is superfluous. Whether it bothers you, remove the notification area out of your taskbar temporarily or permanently by changing the settings within the Office Upload Center.

How it operates

The Office Upload Center enables you to monitor document uploads and downloads during synchronization with your OneDrive account or another online server. It informs you if the uploads were successful, failed, or were uninterrupted for any reason.

One of the greatest benefits is it allows you to create backups for the documents easily and securely. When you save a document, it will save on your computer after which, if you connect with the web, the files are automatically backed up for your OneDrive account.

Remove Office Upload Center for Current Session Only

If you wish to get rid of the Office Upload Center icon for that current session on your computer rather than removing it:

Bring in the Task Manager by pressing Ctrl + Alt + Del after which clicking on Task Manager or Ctrl + Shift + Esc.

Select the Processes tab and check for MSOSYNC.EXE.

Click on MSOSYNC.EXE to focus on it after which press Delete to stop it from running.

Next, look for OSPPSVC.EXE and do the same thing.

Remove Office Upload Center Permanently

To remove the Office Upload Center from Windows 10 permanently:

Hover your cursor within the Office Upload Center icon and right-click.

Choose Settings within the popup menu.

Locate the Office Upload Center and click on Settings on the toolbar.

In the new menu box for that Microsoft Office Upload Center Settings, visit Display Options.

Locate Display icon in notification area option and uncheck that box.

Click Alright to save the alterations and exit the menu.

Close the Office Upload Center window by clicking the X within the upper-right corner.

Disabling the Office Upload Center out of your notifications doesn't mean you can't access it. Make use of the Start menu to navigate back to it.

Another way to arrive at the Office Upload Center is by clicking the beginning menu, choosing All Apps after which Microsoft Office 2016 Tools. In Office 2010 and 2013, it's under Microsoft Office 2010/2013.

Microsoft Office 2016 and Microsoft Office 2013, like all versions of Office and most other programs you pay for, mandates that one enters a unique product key throughout the installation process, proving, to some extent, that you own the software.

So what do you do if you want to reinstall this program but you've lost this important, 25-digit installation code? No doubt you've already tried all of the expected "looking around" but there are some more things you can try that you may not have access to known about.

If you are acquainted with product keys and just how they work, you may assume that the Office 2016/2013 product secret is stored, encrypted, within the Windows Registry, like older versions of Office and many other individuals do.

Unfortunately, Microsoft changed how they handled Microsoft Office product keys beginning with Office 2013, storing only area of the product key in your local computer. Which means that those product key finder programs aren't as helpful as they used to be.

The following should work if you're just looking for the product key for just one person in an Office 2016 and 2013 suite, like Word or Excel, in addition to if you are following the key for a whole suite, like Office Home & Student, Office Home & Business, or Office Professional in 2016 or 2013 versions.

Listed here are the three how to go about digging up a lost MS Office 2016/2013 product key:

Find Your Office 2016/2013 Key in Your Documentation or Email

Should you purchased Microsoft Office 2016 or 2013 inside a box with a disc, or as a product card (digital download) from the retail store, your product key is going to be with that physical purchase-on the merchandise card, on the sticker, on or perhaps in the manual, or around the disc sleeve.

Should you purchased one of these simple versions of Office from Microsoft online, your products key is kept in your Microsoft account online (more about that below) and/or arrived in your email receipt.

If Office 2016 or 2013 came preinstalled on your pc when you purchased it, your product key should be printed around the holographic sticker mounted on your pc. Ensure you make use of the Office 2016/2013 product key and not the Windows product key that's probably also with that sticker.

My prediction is that you've looked those places already before finding yourself on this page. However, there's something that might help you out of trouble, especially if you bought Office online:

As i mentioned already that product key finder tools won't find your Office 2013 product key, many will locate the final five digits, the one thing stored on your computer, which may be helpful in your research.

Here's how you can get it done:

Download Belarc Advisor. This is among the finest system information programs available and also doubles like a product key finder.

Install Belarc Advisor and run it. It takes a few minutes to find out all of your computer's information, including that last a part of your Office 2016 or 2013 product key.

From the Belarc Advisor Computer Profile browser window that opens, tap or click the Software Licenses link within the left margin.

Look for that Microsoft Office 2016 or Microsoft Office 2013 mention within the list.

Belarc Advisor lists the precise suite or program name here, if you just have Word 2016, search for Microsoft - Office Word 2016. If you have a full-blown suite, search for Microsoft - Office Professional Plus 2013. You get the idea.

What you'll see is really a number of numbers, accompanied by (Key: ends with AB1CD). Those five characters, anything they might be, would be the final five characters of your valid Office 2016 or Office 2013 product key.

The characters prior to that sentence aren't your products key. Belarc Advisor isn't able to find the entire Office product key for these versions because it doesn't exist on your computer, in contrast to previous versions of Office.

Now that you have the ultimate a part of your MS Office key, searching your email and computer for your string of characters, hopefully surfacing any digital documentation you've still got in your purchase.

Obviously, that trick isn't helpful if you don't have a digital paper trail of your Office purchase, but it's worth the trouble if you might.

View Your Office 2016 or 2013 Key in your Office Account Page

If you previously registered and activated your copy of Microsoft Office 2016 or 2013, you'll be happy to know that Microsoft has stored for you, and can demonstrate, your original product key.

This is what you must do to see it:

Sign directly into your Microsoft Office Account page.

Tap or click the Install from a disc.

Depending on how you bought the software, and if you've installed Microsoft Office already, you may not have to know or enter your products key whatsoever. Just tap or click the Install button instead and follow the instructions given.

On the page that loads next, tap or click I've got a disc, followed by View your product key.

In the event that works, record your Office 2016/2013 product key and keep it somewhere safe. You don't need to repeat all of this again next time you need it!

Contact Microsoft for any Replacement Office 2013 Product Key

Another option, that you may or might not have probably the most luck with, would be to contact Microsoft directly to request a replacement key.

Microsoft obviously won't just trust that you bought MS Office and browse a valid product key over the telephone. You'll need to find whatever evidence of purchase you can find and have it ready before calling.

You'll find the very best number to call on the Microsoft Support: E mail us page.

I suggest that you read through our How you can Talk to Tech Support guide before calling. As straightforward as calling about a replacement key may appear, I understand from experience on both sides that technical support of any sort could be tricky for everybody involved.

Office 365 & MS Office 2016 & 2013 Product Keys

If you have a duplicate of MS Office 2016 or 2013 placed on your pc that you simply installed via your Office 365 subscription, you don't need to worry about product keys whatsoever!

Just register to your Office 365 account online and follow the menu prompts to download and install the latest form of Microsoft Office 2016.

If you don't know your Microsoft password, you can reset it fairly easily.
Tips & More details

While it might be extremely tempting to utilize a free Office product key you might find in certain list on the web, or to download and employ a key generator program that supports Office 2013, either way is illegal.

Unfortunately, if none of the options I've already mentioned work out, you're playing buying a new copy of Office.

Please realize that key finder tools work perfectly with versions of Office prior to Office 2013.

See our tutorials on finding Office 2010 & 2007 product keys, as well as a separate, more applicable, tutorial on finding keys for older versions of Microsoft Office.

Microsoft has released a new cumulative update for Windows 10 Anniversary Update (version 1607), which no more receives support unless products are enrolled in the LTSC branch.

Windows 10 cumulative update KB4480977 bumps the OS build number to 14393.2759, also it comes with a total of 14 fixes, these resolving bugs in the operating-system - you can check out the entire release notes baked into the box after the jump.

Probably the most important fixes concerns a File Explorer issue that causes the file manager to prevent working without self-recovery after several days of uptime, as Microsoft explains within the changelog.

Many of the refinements that are thing about this cumulative update are targeted at IT pros and system administrators, as it's the case of the treatment for the PowerShell Desired State Configuration pull server. Microsoft explains:

"Addresses an issue that causes the PowerShell Desired State Configuration (DSC) pull server to return "ResourceNotFound (404)" after the Internet Information Services (IIS) application pool is recycled. The Application Log contains Extensible Storage Engine (ESENT) Event ID 623, indicating that the store version is incorrect. This update adds functionality to configure the version store size to resolve this problem."

"Several known issues"

This update also comes with a long list of known issues, but these already existed in the last cumulative updates as well.

There's the issue affecting instant search in Microsoft Outlook clients, which the software giant says could be addressed in a future update, in addition to a bug causing certain Lenovo laptops to fail to start should they have less than 8GB RAM. In this instance, Microsoft recommends disabling Secure Boot.

Remember that Windows 10 version 1607 is no longer serviced for Home and Pro SKUs, and Microsoft urges people to upgrade their devices to some support version of the operating-system as soon as possible.
